About HART Adoption Days Adoption Application

"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your
dog. You
are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful
and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be
worthy of such devotion." –Unknown

Foster Families are the backbone of HART of Wisconsin. These families care for the dogs who are rescued from animal shelters or surrendered by people who are unable or unwilling to care for the dog properly. Unfortunately, we have had to turn away dogs because of the lack of homes.

Joe
Joe is a two year old German shepherd mix. He was abandoned by his owner
to a local impound facility and was facing euthanasia. On October 29, Joe
suffered a freak accident and broke his front leg, when his leg slipped between
stairs.
On
November 6th he underwent surgery to have a large plate with eight
screws and a pin to stabilize the break.
Joe’s current veterinary bill is $1422.08. His recovery period
will be eight to twelve weeks and will include intermittent rechecks, x-rays
and surgical fixation of the temporary pin. His final veterinary bill is
expected to be approximately $1600.00
